Bio

Eliar Tabrizi is a Director/Cinematographer based in the United States. He was born in Tabriz, Iran, from an American mother and Iranian/Turk father. In 1999, he moved to Azerbaijan to continue his education as an artist. He started his career in the music industry as a singer, but in 2008, he moved to the United States and joined the U.S. Armed Forces. At the same time, he married Yuliya Panchenko, who later became an influential international photographer and educator. While living with Yuliya, Eliar naturally craved a desire in working with cameras, and he began to assist his wife in photography.

In January 2020, after retiring from the U.S Army, Eliar continued his education at Full Sail University to become a filmmaker. In 2023, he graduated Full Sail University with a bachelor's in Film and a master's degree in Film Production. While in film school he wrote, produces, directed, and shot several original short films, which were selected and won multiple awards in international film festivals and competitions.

From the very beginning, Eliar was fascinated by cinematic lighting and camera movements. While at school, he dedicated the majority of his time learning cinematography, and later, he expanded his skills as a director of photography. As a director/cinematographer, Eliar developed a style, where he plans one-take shots with an interesting blocking and lighting.

Eliar Tabrizi's experience as a director and cinematographer working with verity of cine and photography cameras set him up to be a successful Cinematographer in the field.
